As part of the German Energy Solutions Initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, the Project Development Programme (PDP) promotes climate-friendly energy solutions in 18 partner countries.
It develops implementable renewable energy projects by identifying local companies, assessing their energy demand and proposing a business case. Once the local companies are convinced to invest in such a project, an introduction to a potential German supplier is made.
PDP is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. As a federally owned enterprise, GIZ supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.
